P.L.A.N.S. Educational Workshops

P.L.A.N.S. (People Learning All New Strategies) Educational Workshops give our young people access to information, often not taught in schools or at home, needed to become productive young adults. We have offered workshops  with members of the Chicago Police Department and  with a Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney.  We have provided Career Exploration, with alumni and community members sharing information about their professions.  This year we are focusing on hands-on activities while discussing the workshop topics.  For example,  Bath Bombs and Galaxy Jars were made for  Self-Care/Self-Love discussions.  We also offer one No-Bake Treat workshop each month such as pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving and  Reindeer chow for Christmas. Learning and eating all in one!
